Shiphrah - Revised

In January of 2010, I did the monthly donation pinup. Unfortunately, that event passed virtually unnoticed. But I always wanted to revisit this picture somewhat because a couple things bothered me.

Aside from costume (which is, to say, "not there" XD), the biggest change is removing Ship's "ahoge", which as I come to find out means roughly "stupid hair" when translated from Japanese. It's a visual affectation designed to let the reader know, right away, that the character being shown isn't too bright. That wasn't tira-chan's intent, but I can't ignore the cultural significance in manga since that's the style we emulate. There are plenty of things that make Ship... well, Ship. So I nixed the "hair thingee" as some like to call it. I'm not going to retcon any old images, but going forward, Ship will look a lot different.

Secondly, I decided I really liked this shade of blue as her "default" hair color. The original aqua-green was interesting, but in the end, I found it visually dull. the rest of it was some minor corrections in the linework and changing the logo, removing the "Happy New Year" and "2010" marks.

That said, everything should be up-to-date.

Nothing is actually showing, so I'm not going with "mature content" on this one.
